SANDI TRAVELS: NEW ORLEANS

I took a girls trip with some friends, and New Orleans proved to be the perfect destination. I had visited New Orleans before, but this trip was different.

I was looking for something else; we did not party the night away in the craziness that is Bourbon street. We ate plenty of food, walked a ton, drank lots of rum and bourbon, took a boat ride down the Louisiana bayou, ran the "Bulls" with the locals, tasted some extremely hot sauces, fell in love with the sounds of jazz and blues, witnessed wedding parades, danced on the street to some Michael Jackson, and shared copious amounts of laughter. It also coincided with my birthday, and I had a joyous time with these lovely souls, aka "the Willow Girls".
